Brown: Battlefield 3 sells 8 million, ships 12 million

EA chief financial officer Eric Brown told the Baird Technology Conference yesterday that Battlefield 3 has been purchased 8 million times

As reported by GameInformer, Brown also revealed the publisher has shipped 12 million copies. 10 million units were shipped to retailers in the game’s first week.
During the same period, 5 million copies of the DICE shooter had been sold, EA’s largest launch ever.
While the sales probably don’t approach those of rival Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, EA didn’t expect them to, being content to take some of Activision’s market share.
Battlefield 3 is available now on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

بالأمس تم إقامة مؤتمر Baird للتكنلويجا وقد حظر المدير المالي لشركة EA في ذلك المؤتمر وأكد للحاظرين أن مبيعات Battlefield 3 قد وصلت إلى 8 نسخة مباعة, بالإضافه إلى ذلك فقد أكد المدير انهم الأن قاموا بشحن 12 مليون نسخة اخرى. في الأسبوع الأول من اطلاق اللعبه تم شحن منها 10 مليون نسخة لتجار البيع بالتجزئه وقد بيع 5 مليون نسخه في تلك المده وقد اعتبرت هذه اللعبه هي الأفضل مبيعاً على الإطلاق في تاريخ إستييوهات EA. من الجهة الأخرى ان قمنا بمقارنة Battlefield 3 مع منافسها Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 فهذا الرقم لايعد شيء فهي قد باعت 6.5 مليون نسخه في أول يوم فقط, في الفتره الماضيه بدأت بعض الشائعات تدور بشكل مثير للريبه كثيراً وهي تُشير إلى أن البعض من الإحصائيات كان بها شيء من التلاعب فما رأيكم هل فعلاً MW3 لم تصل إلى تلك الأرقام المهوله ؟
