ظهر اسم JOYMAX للنور في مطلع عام 1997 .م

وكانت انطلاقتها الفعلية في عام 1999 حيث اصدرت لعبتها “Final Odyssey” في اليابان , وحققت نجاح لابأس به بلنسبة لشركة حديثة المنشئ نسبياً .

وكانت هذه فاتحة لانطلاقتها الي عالم الـ Video Games وخصوصاً علي العاب الادوار المتعددة في الشبكات ( MMORPG ) .

(Final Odyssey) is an RTS game with realistic 3D rendering graphics, alpha blending semi transparent skill effects, and explosive sound.
In the near future, humanity evolves to the next stage of technological revolution. With these advancements, research in artificial life exceeds all expectations. In 2040, humanity discovers the planet TV203, which exhibits an Earth-like habitation and environment, and dreams of establishing a space colony. But the world war from 2048 to 2050 leads to a dramatic decline in the human population, and people are faced with dwindling natural and human resources. The survivors put their collective efforts into creating cyborgs to establish a new space colony and alleviate the demand for human labor. The newly established Earth Empire determines that it is too risky to send human beings on this venture and sends the cyborg Amos on the space colony mission, dubbed Final Odyssey. In the year 3010, the Earth Empire attempts its first colonization attempt of TV203, but is met by resistance from Amos, who after decades of isolation, has turned against the huamn race. The Earth Empire sends the cyborg battle unit Targon against Amos to recover what is rightfully theirs

July 2000. Several spies have reported vampire activities. According to the information, vampires from all over the world have begun gathering in the Helia region north of Edonia, the capital city of Eslania. There are even rumors of the gathering of the twelve clan masters, an unprecedented event. Clan rivalry is at an all time high, and the Vatican is faced with an immediate new threat. The warring of the vampire clans begin to effect the residents of neighboring communities. The government of Eslania have sent military troops, only to be defeated by the powerful and numerous vampires and become enslaved to them. To minimize their damage, the military has begun evacuation of the immediate surrounding areas, and the task of eradicating the vampires falls into the hands of the vampire hunter unit, the E.V.E. The greatest result of deploying the E.V.E. troops was the live capture of a vampire captive. Upon learning the true motive of the vampires’ gathering and clan wars, the world received a great shock. The holiest of vampire scriptures, the “Bible of Blood,” was being mentioned, an artifact so elusive that no one had ever seen or even heard of its existence. The leaders of the Vatican issue further orders to E.V.E. to search for and destroy the Bible of Blood

The main stage of the game is called ‘Crise’ located at the northeastern area within three large continent. Within the dense jungle in the north of Crise, there is a physical-based military power realm called ‘Millena’, and their enemy, a magical-based realm called ‘Rain’, located within the dense mountain in the south of Crise. After a long and bloody battle, both realms wound up in ruin. Their people, terrified, or dead, fled from monsters in the surrounding countryside. This battle has left both realms devastated, and they've called for a cease-fire and established diplomatic relations between each other.
There is a large, resource-laden area between Millena and Rain called, “Lette Plane”. The area is complimented with “Elda Stones”, important energy crystals, but attaining these crystals has proven to be a dangerous feat, coupled with the appearance of rather powerful monsters.
Upon establishing diplomatic relations between realms, a population increase caused hardships of food and resources, making it inevitable for both realms to head toward the resourceful “Lette Plane

عموماً هوا خبر انتشر في جميع المواقع الكورية او العالمية ومفاده ان اللعبة هتنتهي كـ silkroad online 1 ولتبداً من جديد تحت مسمي silkroad online 2 وذلك في عام 2010 .

세팅하고 ‘실크로드 온라인2’의 개발에 착수했다. 조이맥스 관계자에 따르면 ‘실크로드 온라인2’ 개발은 기획 초기 단계이며 약 30명 정도가 참여하고 있는 것으로 알려졌다. 조이맥스 내부에서는 `실크로드 온라인2`의 공개를 2010년으로 잡고 있다. 2008년 코스닥 입성시 밝혔던 `2009년 공개`보다는 일정이 늦춰진 것.

실제 실크로드를 배경으로 한 조이맥스의 MMORPG ‘실크로드 온라인’은 전세계 1900만 명의 누적 가입자 수와 글로벌 동시접속자 수 11만 명을 기록하는 등 순항을 하고 있다. ‘실크로드 온라인’의 성과로 조이맥스는 지난 2008년 코스닥 입성에 성공했으며 아태지역 고속성장 500대 기업에 선정되기도 했다
